This Women's Month, we want to turn the spotlight towards the women who form an integral part of the foundation of our business, our administration team.
We often think of them as the legs of the table. A table can look beautiful. It can be impressive. It can be the place where important conversations happen and big decisions are made. But without strong legs beneath it, it simply cannot stand.
Our admin team provides that strength. They are behind the documentation that needs to be right, the processes that need to keep moving, the details that cannot be overlooked, the calls that need answering, the problems that need solving and the countless moving parts involved in running a successful real estate business.
And much of this work happens without applause. Administration is sometimes described as a "support" function, but anyone who has worked inside a high-performing business knows that the word barely captures its importance. It requires organisation, patience, accuracy, adaptability, emotional intelligence and the ability to remain calm when ten things suddenly need attention at once.
In property, where people are making some of the biggest financial and emotional decisions of their lives, those qualities matter.
Our admin team supports our agents, our clients and one another. They help create the consistency behind the Seeff Richards Bay experience and allow the rest of the team to do what they do best.
But this Women's Month, we also want to go beyond their job titles. Behind every desk is a woman with her own story. A woman with ambitions, who has overcome challenges, woman balancing different roles and responsibilities, who has learnt lessons through her career and her life.
While strong businesses are often measured by sales, market share and results, they are built by people. And sometimes, the people holding everything together aren't standing in the spotlight.
